Women entrepreneurs are breaking all the barriers and shining like a bright star in a variety of industries.

Thanks to the continuing growth of the Indian startup ecosystem, more women are chasing the entrepreneurial dream and succeeding in their businesses.

Starting a business takes a substantial amount of effort and initiative. There are no secret recipes for starting a successful business. It doesn’t matter when or where you start your journey, as there is no prejudice in entrepreneurship.

    INDIA’S SUCCESSFUL WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS

    1. Aditi Gupta

Aditi Gupta, the author, and co-founder of the comic Menstrupedia is an instance of a female Indian entrepreneur being innovative and educational.
Having faced the stigmas related to periods firsthand, she made it her mission to dispel the myths and misinformation about menstruation. In 2012, she and her spouse founded the comic. For her attempt to break the age-old taboos, she got featured in Forbes India’s Under 30 list in 2014.

Menstrupedia was successful in challenging a lot of prejudices, but it came with a lot of doubts and hesitations at first. However, the site has grown in popularity among girls and women interested in learning more about menstruation. Through online and offline activities, the platform has touched over 14 lakh users. Aditi launched an online store to offer menstruation supplies, comics, and workshops related to feminism, gender equality, and women empowerment. Friendly guide to healthy periods – Menstrupedia

    2. Vandana Luthra

Vandana Luthra, the founder of VLCC Health Care Ltd, is a successful Indian entrepreneur. The corporation is a distributor of beauty and health products in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe. She was elected the head of the Beauty and Wellness Sector Skills Council (B&WSSC) in 2014, a non-profit organization that gets money from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship’s National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC).
When Vandana started her business in India, there were relatively a few women entrepreneurs. In a male-centric atmosphere, she had to deal with high criticism. However, she insisted that her concept was original and unique.
In 2010, Enterprise Asia recognized her as Women Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2013, the President of India awarded Vandana the Padma Shri award, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor.
VLCC is now well-known for its broad range of beauty and wellness goods and services with a high degree of consumer confidence. The VLCC Group presently operates at 330 sites throughout 150 cities in 14 countries.

    3. Shahnaz Husain

Shahnaz Husain is a well-known Indian female entrepreneur and the founder and managing director of Shahnaz Herbals Inc., a company noted for its herbal cosmetics, notably skincare products.

She never pictured herself as a beauty mogul and one of the world’s most renowned women when she married as a teenager and had a daughter at the age of 16. But, as they say, only dead fish follow the stream, and Shahnaz fought against all odds to become a brand in her own right.
Shahnaz Husain Group is India’s leading company in the field of natural beauty and anti-aging therapies. Shahnaz Husain founded the company in New Delhi in the 1970s, and it has now vertically integrated to include every facet of Ayurvedic care and treatment.
The company engages in a variety of operations, including beauty training institutions, farming its herbs, making its own cosmetics line, retailing, and providing specialized treatments through its network of over 200 beauty centers across the world.

    4. Sugandha Agarwal

The pandemic pushed us to recognize the value of telemedicine, but young entrepreneur Sugandha Agarwal saw it happen a year ago. She founded Docttocare, an online medical service that informs customers about the best doctors, clinics, hospitals, and diagnostic laboratories in the area. Virtual tours of hospitals and their amenities are also available through Docttocare.
Docttocare is a prominent healthcare website that allows people from non-metro locations to connect with doctors and hospitals in major cities and schedule appointments. The app guides users through the process of finding the correct doctors/hospitals and setting up an appointment on the specified date. Docttocare offers dental, gynecological, dermatology, ENT, ayurvedic, and homeopathic services.
Docttocare is gradually gaining the trust of doctors and patients. All major hospitals, including Apollo, Manipal, and Medanta, employ companies. Docttocare currently receives over 300 appointments daily and conducts over 4000 medical tests. They have 500 clinics, 100 hospitals, and 2000 doctors registered.

    5. Khushboo Jain

In 2014, Khushboo Jain and Piyush Jain co-founded the crowd-funding website ImpactGuru.com to make healthcare more accessible in India. She is the company’s marketing director as well as the director of communications and design teams, in addition to being the Chief Operating Officer.

She was recently included on Fortune India’s 40 Under 40 list and was named in the NITI Aayog’s Top 15 Females and the United Nations 2019 Women Transforming India Awards.

The company’s objective is to find crowd financing methods to help people with serious conditions. It assists people in creating an informed and intense fundraising appeal. Crowdfunding enables patients to cover high treatment expenses without incurring any repayment obligations. ImpactGuru.com raised more than INR 15 crores to assist daily wage employees in the middle of the COVID-19 outbreak.
These Indian women entrepreneurs who flourished in their business in the Health and Wellness industry are setting examples for women of all ages to achieve their dreams. There is no age bar, no economical bar that may prevent you from achieving your dream – that’s the best part of entrepreneurship. You can figure out a plan that best suits you and still get incredible results.
